To my dear friend John, Johnno, "pop", memories of the times we spent together from the first time we met at Ditz's you bringing in your beautiful daughters from school, you were so proud of them, how they became beautiful adults and parents you oozed proudness. I will always cherish the times we spent down the shed chating about your next project, you were so determined to resolve any problems you encountered, your doggedness was something to behold. You were ahead of your time.I still remember walking around your land, one time stopping at the large ant nest, you stomping near it and having the ants by the thousands coming towards us, I don't think the appreciated us doing that, we got the help out of there before we had ants in our pants. Another time we went down to the dam to check out a log for fire wood, we rolled the log over and just stood amazed at seeing a nest of white thick worms, thicker than our fingers, we stood for awhile until it dawned on us what they were, lucky mum wasn't there, we hightailed it out of there. There are so many more memories of our times together that I will cherish forever. To Nat and your family, Michelle and your family and Mary and your family our sincere condolences for your Los dads. Love Andy, EriKa, Kelly and Paul." Until we meet again my friend rest in peacefully "

Fond memories of my former workmate at Godfrey Hirst. A very funny man whose sayings and jokes I still copy today. We called him “Pop” and he was the best draftsman I have ever worked with. Good-bye Pop you will always be remembered.

Dear John, you were affectionately known as "Pop" to all your old workmates at Godfrey Hirst. You were an exceptional draftsman, and proud of your work. You took me under your wing in the early years and taught me a lot. I will remember you as a very humerous person and a true gentleman. One thing that sticks in my mind all those years later is how you would draw a very small mouse somewhere on your drawings and we had to find it. These drawings are now locked away in the archives of the Godfrey Hirst Engineering office. It was a pleasure to know you and work with you. Wasa

Ha POP, only just found out of your passing , sincere condolences to your family, I am sure you will be sadly missed by all. Thanks for the years we worked together at Godfrey Hirst and for all of those great times we had with Don, Peter, Bart, Bruce etc, they were fantastic, I cannot believe it was so long ago just seems like yesterday when you would make us all laugh and forget any troubles we had, you were very kind and gentle with a weird sense of humour. Rest In Peace my friend. Jim
