Hi I read with sadness the passing of Joy Ferrier. She was a constant supporter and helper for my mother Margaret who lived in unit 5. If ever I was unable to contact Mum I would ring Joy who would go over and see what was happening and then promptly ring back with a re-assuring message. Often when I was down there, Joy would pop her head in to say hello, and throughout the near 30 years that mum lived there, the constant in her life was the friendship and respect they had for each other. I wish all family members well in this tough time, and I'd like to think that Joy and Mum were having a cuppa and chat in heaven together. Roger McCunnie

I was very sad to hear of Joy’s passing. Joy was the next door neighbour to my aunt Marita Bodington who was suffering from advanced dementia and Joy was a wonderful neighbour to Marita. Joy would often pop in when I was visiting my aunt, and we would have great conversations about music, in which we both shared a great interest. I will always remember the happy times when Margaret McCunnie (also a wonderful neighbour) Joy and Marita would be out the front laughing and talking about all sorts of things. I will miss you Joy, but the heavenly chorus, will sound just that much better with your great musical talent. My prayers and condolences to the family. Karen Margerison.
