My deepest condolences to Lorraine's family. I was so sad to read of her passing. A very special lady always lived life to the full. A tenacious badminton player whom will be greatly missed. We always shared Christmas newsy letters. I'm sure she'll be still playing badminton up there in the sky. Rest in peace Lorraine

As I think about our dear sister Lorraine, I realize that she was the reason I have learned to appreciate the enormous value of letter writing. I am so grateful that she showed me the importance of staying in touch with those we care about. When I first immigrated to Canada, Lorraine’s were the letters that arrived regularly, full of news, articles from magazines, photos, and more. Hers was the best! She not only kept me informed of so many things and, reminded me that although I was far away, I also was not forgotten and was still loved. Remembering “surface mail” everything went by ship and took months. Airmail was just too expensive, just like phone calls. During the 60s a phone call from Canada to Australia was $10 per minute. Today I attended a concert. The encore piece was Danny Boy. Immediately, I recalled a fond memory of Lorraine playing the piano in the hallway of our old family home in Newtown. Sister Margaret and I stood by the piano and we sang Danny Boy. This was a particularly special time and a great memory that I will hold dear, always. Even though Lorraine embraced the Internet and email, she still found time to write letters and cards, never disappointing, always joyful, and full of great information. I will miss her, as will her friends, relatives, children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judith Lidgus

It was lovely to hear the wonderful tributes to Tottie's by her children and grandchildren and friends. She will be very much missed by the family and her friends. We shared some good times line dancing in days gone by, the love of country music runs in our blood. Love to all the family. Robyn Webber (2nd cousin).
