Liz and Emerson, Nothing I say can compensate you for your loss, but be rest assured that Mark will be remebered with great fondness by all who knew him. I have posted the sad news on a couple of websites for ex Hammersmith police officers and there are many lovely posts. Personally, I think Mark was one of the funniest men I ever knew, if one of the most infuriating due to his awful timekeeping. I wouldn't surprise me in the least if he is late on Wednesday. My thoughts are with you. RIP Mark

We were shocked and deeply saddened by Mark's sudden decline and passing. We send our heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences t Liz, Emerson, Jean, Barry and Lisa and family. Our paths first crossed in 1986 when we worked together as part of the Metropolitan Police No.7 Unit, Special Patrol Group and also later when it was transformed into the 6 Area Territorial Support Group (4 Unit) Mark was a great work colleague with a terrific sense of humour and was a well respected officer. He was a fun guy to be around and we became lifelong friends. He will be greatly missed. RIP, Mark. With Love from Norman and Sue, xxx

Our sincere condolences to Liz, Emerson, Jean,Barry and Lisa. Mark was a great and loyal friend. Chris met Mark when they worked for the Metropolitan Police in 1985 on F District DSU where Mark taught Chris the right way of policing! They then Worked together on the Territorial Support Group in 1987. Chris suffered many hangovers after Mark used to drag him out for a few Burton Ales, telling Jayne they were only going for one!! Mark spent many hours entertaining our 3 boys when they were young. We were fortunate to visit Mark, Liz and Emerson in 2019 and we will treasure those memories forever. RIP Mark dear friend xx

A stranger turned up at my sisters door 30+ years ago. He was on holiday from England and claimed to be a long lost cousin. It took no time at all for him to be accepted and loved by our family. In part because of his physical similarity to our eldest brother but mostly because Mark's very Humphries sense of humour. Our family continued to grow as we met his mum Jean, brother Barry. Mark then Met and married Liz and became parents to Emerson. My heart goes out to you all including Marks extended family and very good friends at this very sad time.

Dear Liz, Emerson, Jean, Barry and Lisa. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Mark was a very good friend, and ex colleague. I first met Mark, like many of his other friends while working on 6TSG, and frienship bloomed, and many pints were shared, in particular Guinness and Port one New Year! He always had a story to tell, and a joke to share. In recent months, he converted me to the letter puzzle,'Wordle', where we would compete with each other. Mark, you were taken from this life to soon, and will be truly missed. RIP mate. Duncan, Nicole, jess & Calum xx
