Robert Newell Smith

25/11/1943 - 06/08/2022

Robert (Bob) Newell Smith left this world 6 August 2022, aged 78. He will be dearly missed by his darling wife, Pat, his daughter, Nicole and his son, Scott.

You touched the lives of many with your greatness and we are eternally grateful to have loved you.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields,
until we meet again.

Love you always Bob and Dad.

My sympathy to Pat, Nicole and Scott and sincerest thanks for lending him to the Mawson Lakes Model Yacht Club. He was a great friend and mentor to me and helped get me through a difficult time. My Club involvement with him gave me a new direction in life for which I am forever grateful. He and my late wife new something good would come out of it for me. Vale Bob. Miss you heaps.

You were as proud of us as your own, even when we were having food fights on your new lawn or reading dolly magazines in the bedroom giggling. You taught us that truth, humility and loyalty were traits we should live by and you believed in us before we really believed in ourselves. Thank you for giving us a strong, kind, generous and loving best friend and for all the love, sarcasm and life lessons we could handle along the way. To Nicole, Mum and Scott know that the kilometres between us tomorrow sit heavy with us and that the grandest of military tattoos you have planned will be making him smile from above and proud of the family he was so fiercely loyal and loving to. Love and hugs to you all Kerrianne, Chris, Joshua, Jack, Maddison and Jessica
