My beautiful friend Shirl💗 We had been friends for 63 years and never a cross word to each other. Wonderful memories of fun times and many outings especially our bus trips to flower & craft shows and Christmas in July @ Cuckoo. On my last visit, Shirl was asleep in her room at Bupa, I held her hand and whispered “hello Shirl”. She slowly opened her eyes and said “hello Darlin” - just as she would every time we saw each other. We talked, we laughed and I showed her photos of my Great Grandchildren. When I told her I was leaving, I kissed her on her forehead and she said “see you again”. I will always treasure those last words as she passed away peacefully the following day. Now resting peacefully, my dear friend, I will miss you. Shirley Stacey.
