Stan was the Squad leader of the Victoria Police Training Squad three of 1960. Mis leadership and guidance was appreciated by the younger members of the squad and it set a pattern for the remainder of his career of his career and in retirement. My thoughts are with Margaret and the family at this time. John Phemister (in England)

Condolences to the Family. First met Stan through basketball with East Rovers at the old St Marys Stadium where he had a role in me enjoying the game so much and then later when I worked for Geelong Police. He was a true and fair gentleman who will be sadly missed. R.I.P. Stan

Sincere condolences to all friends and family on the passing of Stan. A true gentleman a real character and Motorhome fraternity legend. Stan's mini mystery safaris created a fun and friendly atmosphere and his sense of larrikinism ensured all participants enjoyed them enthusiastically. Now on safari on a greater place, may the sun always shine on your back. Alan "Bushy" Barnes President The Bushwackers CMCA

To Marg, Matt, Greg, Pete and Suzie. I would like to say how saddened I was to hear of Stan’s passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Stan over many years through both Try Boys and the Geelong Tribunal. Stan always had a twinkle in his eye even when he was keeping a straight face when questioning reported players. My apologies for being unable to attend Stans funeral however please know that I am think of you all . Lynne
